We had the good fortune of connecting with Marley Saxe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity. People can feel when something is real. I don’t create products just to sell them—I create them because I believe in them. I stay connected to my community, listen to their needs, and never compromise on quality or integrity. Everything I make is rooted in care, and I think that shines through.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business was born out of a deep need to protect my family—and a passion for creating products that are both beautiful and truly non-toxic. As a mom navigating mold illness, chronic symptoms, and the overwhelm of toxic overload in our environment, I realized how hard it was to find skincare and household products that were genuinely safe and effective. So I started making them myself—starting small, in my kitchen, using ingredients I could trust.

What sets my brand apart is that every single product is rooted in purpose and made by hand with care. I don’t just follow trends or slap on labels that say “natural.” I dive deep into research, test everything on myself and my family, and keep things clean, minimal, and intentional. From using ingredients like grass-fed tallow and cold-pressed oils to avoiding synthetic fragrances, seed oils, and preservatives—I’m committed to full transparency and integrity.

I’m most proud of the connection I’ve built with my community. Hearing from moms who say our products have helped their kids’ skin or brought peace of mind into their homes—that’s what fuels me.

Getting to this point definitely wasn’t easy. There were seasons of doubt, exhaustion, and sacrifice. I’ve made mistakes, had slow seasons, and had to learn to rest and regroup instead of quitting. But I’ve learned to keep showing up, trust my gut, and stay anchored in why I started.

The lesson I’ve learned again and again? You don’t have to do it like everyone else to succeed. In fact, the more I’ve leaned into doing things differently—creating slow, intentional, rooted-in-truth products—the more my business has grown.

What I want the world to know is this: my brand isn’t just about skincare or body products. It’s about choosing a slower, more intentional way of living. It’s about honoring the body God gave you, the home you live in, and the little ones you’re raising. It’s about doing things differently, even if that makes you a bit of a rebel in today’s world. And I’m so grateful to be on this journey with others who feel the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d kick things off with coffee at The Caffiene Collective—I love that they’ve got an outdoor playset so the kids can play while we catch up over a clean latte. Then we’d head to the local farmer’s market to grab some fresh produce, honey, or handmade goods. Later in the day, we’d take a relaxing walk through Northshore Park or around Lake Woodlands and end with dinner at True Food Kitchen—always a win for wholesome, flavorful food.

Day 2 – Nature + Nourish
Morning hike at the George Mitchell Nature Preserve trails—so peaceful and grounding. Afterward, we’d hit Whole Foods to stock up on snacks and clean staples. Lunch would be at Flower Child—can’t go wrong with their bowls or wraps. The rest of the day? Backyard lounging, maybe journaling or reading while the kids play.

Day 3 – Coffee & Clean Beauty Vibes
Start the day with a slow coffee at First Cup Coffee Co.—another great spot with outdoor space for the kids. Then maybe a little spa moment at home with a DIY facial using tallow balm or oils from my own collection. We’d probably swing by Kady’s Market in Conroe to grab some local grass-fed meat for dinner and prep a nourishing home-cooked meal.

Day 4 – Day Trip Feel Without Leaving Town
We’d treat ourselves to a little day of boutique browsing around Market Street or the smaller shops tucked around The Woodlands. Maybe pop into a bookstore or home goods shop, then grab a clean lunch at Local Table or picnic by the water. The evening would be all about a cozy dinner at home and sitting outside chatting while the kids run around.

Day 5 – Adventure + Simplicity
Pack up for a lake day or a spontaneous visit to a local u-pick farm if one’s open. The fresh air, snacks, and sunshine would be medicine for the soul. End the day with grilled grass-fed burgers, watermelon, and a backyard bonfire.

Day 6 – Maker’s Market & Mom Time
We’d find a local maker’s market or small business pop-up (they happen often in Conroe and The Woodlands!), and then sneak in a creative workshop—maybe pottery or candle-making.

Day 7 – church and chill
A peaceful morning, church with the family, and a big brunch at home afterward. The rest of the day would be slow and easy—nature walks, leftovers, and soaking up those last cozy moments before real life kicks back in.

There’s something really special about The Woodlands and Conroe—it’s the kind of place where you can live intentionally, stay connected to nature, and still enjoy good food, sweet community, and clean living. That’s what I’d want to share most.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh, I love this question—because nothing about this journey has been “solo.” First and foremost, I have to give all glory to God. Every step, every door that opened, every moment of clarity—it was all guided by Him.

I also owe so much to my husband, who has believed in me from day one. And of course, my kids—who are a big part of why I do what I do. They’ve inspired many of the products I’ve created and remind me daily of what truly matters.

I also want to shout out to the amazing community of like-minded women and mamas who have cheered me on, supported my small business, and shared it with their friends. Their trust means everything to me. Lastly, I’ve learned so much from other small business owners who’ve generously shared their wisdom and walked this road before me. We rise together.
