Meet Martha Rojas

We had the good fortune of connecting with Martha Rojas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Martha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The idea of starting Party Balloons To Go came from my deep love for creativity and the joy of making people smile through beautiful celebrations. I wanted to build something that combined art, emotion, and connection — something that could transform simple moments into unforgettable memories.
As a mom, I also wanted to create a business that allowed me to do what I love while having the flexibility to be present for my children. Building Party Balloons To Go gave me the opportunity to balance my passion and my family — to design a life where I could grow professionally without missing the moments that matter most.
When I started, I saw an opportunity to bring a fresh and modern approach to event decor, one that reflected personality and style while still being accessible and meaningful. My vision was to create experiences, not just decorations — to remind people that every milestone deserves to be celebrated beautifully.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is about transforming emotions into visual experiences. Through Party Balloons To Go, I create designs that bring joy, elegance, and personality to every celebration. What sets me apart is the way I combine creativity with intention — every color, shape, and texture is chosen to reflect the story behind each event.
I’m most proud of how my work connects with people. Seeing a client’s face light up when they see the final setup is the most rewarding part of what I do. It reminds me that art isn’t just something we see — it’s something we feel.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I started from zero, learning, experimenting, and building everything with my own hands while being a full-time mom. There were challenges — from limited resources to self-doubt — but I overcame them through perseverance, faith, and the love I have for what I do.
Along the way, I’ve learned that success doesn’t come overnight; it grows through consistency, authenticity, and passion. I’ve also learned that creativity thrives when you stay true to yourself.
What I want the world to know about Party Balloons To Go is that it’s not just a business — it’s my way of spreading happiness, beauty, and inspiration. Every balloon arrangement tells a story, and every event is a chance to celebrate life with love and color.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit Houston for a week, I’d want them to experience the heart of the city — its mix of creativity, culture, and good vibes!
We’d start with a cozy brunch at Common Bond Café or Tiny Boxwoods, surrounded by beautiful greenery and great coffee. Then we’d explore The Heights, one of my favorite areas for local shops, murals, and unique finds.
Of course, I’d take them to Discovery Green and Buffalo Bayou Park for some outdoor time and amazing skyline views — perfect for relaxing or snapping pictures at sunset. A must-see would be the iconic Waterwall, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. It’s a stunning spot for photos and a little creative inspiration, and every time I visit, it feels like magic!
We’d also visit The Museum District, especially the Museum of Fine Arts, which always inspires my creative side. For dinner, I’d make sure we try some authentic Venezuelan food at Sazón Latin Food or Arepa Xpress — sharing a bit of my roots is a must!
For a fun night out, Montrose has great bars and lounges with live music and friendly people. To end the trip, we’d have a chill Sunday at CityCentre, with a little shopping, coffee, and people-watching. Houston is full of diversity, flavor, charm, and colorful inspiration — it’s impossible not to fall in love with it!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my family — especially my children — who have been my biggest source of motivation and purpose. Their love and smiles remind me every day why I started Party Balloons To Go. They inspire me to keep growing, creating, and believing in my dreams.
I also want to recognize the incredible support from my friends and loyal clients who believed in me from the very beginning. Every word of encouragement, every recommendation, and every smile at the end of a successful event has meant the world to me.
And finally, I’m grateful for all the talented balloon artists and creative entrepreneurs who share their knowledge and passion online. Their work constantly inspires me to keep learning and pushing my creativity further.
