We had the good fortune of connecting with Meka Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meka, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You really have to put one foot in front of the other and start on your journey. There is going to be experimentation along the way. I’ve always felt that there was something rather exciting about taking risks. And there’s a great saying, actually, that you only learn when you are at risk and I’m fascinated by both risk and learning. This has led me to take on challenges that some may say “you can’t do that, that’s just impossible.” No, not to me!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Exquisite Taste Mobile Bartending, we provide Event Staff for all types of Private Events. Bartenders and Wait Staff! Not only that, we bring everything needed for your bar service. Cocktail Mixers, Cups, Ice, Garnishes.. We also provide Custom Bar Rentals and Glassware Rentals.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my Husband, Jay! One of the most effective ways to help your spouse is to offer encouraging words. All of us have areas in which we feel insecure and lack courage, and that lack of courage often hinders us from accomplishing the positive things that we would like to do. But, Jay has always been my #1 supporter! He also takes supportive action, by being willing to keep the kids when I have meetings or events. He was also willing to use the family finances to help me accomplish my goals. I wouldn’t be here without him!
