Hi Melvontae, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite saying is “Go as far as the road takes you and never let anything hold you back from life”. This saying always motivates me to keep going and never give up in life.. Us as people like to settle in life instead of trying to reach our full potential. We can all do it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have one the most successful black owned clothing brands. I started my brand in 2016. From selling out the trunk of my car to having a commercial store front in a public mall. I’m most excited about the progress that we have made, and also very proud of my self for not giving up. It was so hard, and i honestly didn’t think I could do it. Upon doing it I failed numerous times. It finally all worked up and ended being the best decision I made.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When I have my friends visit my home town, I always take them to my store of course. Haha. But we have three nice malls to visit , tons of food places my favorite being “Jeff Ruby’s” !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a special shout-out to my hometown. Louisville, Kentucky. Whom have been super supportive of all that I do. Without them I would not be where I am today.
