Hi Michael, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
To be competitive or successful you have to have a sense of belief in yourself and your abilities when other people doubt you.  People have the ability to grow, to learn, and adapt. In some cases utilizing those three natural abilities with focus and purpose can turn weaknesses into strengths. I think it is important to operate with a high level of self confidence without allowing it to be entangled with arrogance.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business provides insurance and income tax solutions for individuals and small businesses.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is a city that can be very accommodating at times. It will treat you the way you treat it. If you deal with Houston that way then there are not a whole lot of places that fun can’t be found in a way. For the tourist I would recommend Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center for a Rockets game,, The Clear Lake area, and The Galleria area

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a shoutout to the people of Southest Houston who were incredibly supportive of my company. I also want to give out to my family.
