We had the good fortune of connecting with Michel’le Baynard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michel’le, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I come from the Bronx, New York, and my upbringing has significantly shaped who I am today. Growing up, my family and friends shared special moments during events and holidays. These gatherings included homemade apple martinis courtesy of my aunt, as well as nutcrackers and Nemo’s for events like pride or The Halloween parade. Which were quite popular in New York. These experiences taught me the value of connection, celebration, and the unique traditions that bind communities together. They’ve undoubtedly influenced my outlook on mixology and the importance of preserving cultural practices. Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my unique blend of experiences, skills, and perspectives. I take pride in my ability to seamlessly adapt to various situations, which has allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life. What excites me the most is the opportunity to continuously learn and grow, both personally and professionally.

My journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. I faced challenges that tested my resilience and determination. However, I firmly believe that challenges are stepping stones to success. I overcame them by maintaining a positive mindset, seeking guidance from mentors, and consistently pushing my boundaries.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that success is a result of hard work, continuous learning, and the willingness to embrace change. Each obstacle has taught me valuable lessons, including the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and collaboration.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that i aspire to be a guiding light for women exploring entrepreneurial ventures. I aim to inspire and support the next generation of female business leaders. I am committed to making a meaningful impact, and my journey is a reminder that with passion, dedication, and a growth-oriented mindset, we can achieve greatness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My go to spot is Ador, you will always catch an R&B vibe at ador for sure. Hanging out at a roof top pool Bbq’in cause in New York, cook outs are a BIG part of the CULTURE ! All of the diy’s out here like making Mats, candles and rugs are a plus.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my Aunt and Home town. My aunt is the root of why i love to mix and create in the first place. To my friends and family, their presence during events and holidays, created lasting memories that have helped me stay connected and grounded. The atmosphere of these events and gatherings bought so many friends and family together i was able to create things that we could call our own. Additionally, I’d like to acknowledge the vibrant culture of the Bronx and the community spirit that thrives there. The people and traditions of my hometown have played a significant role in influencing my values and perspectives.
