Meet Mike Lutey | Owner & Adaptive Fitness Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Lutey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mike, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and only knew it was a matter of time once I found something I was passionate about. It also allows me to instill core values that I feel is lost in some businesses.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My whole career personally and professionally has prepared me to have my own business. Personally, I have been around and volunteered with the Special Needs population my whole life and when you add my professional experience in the corporate world it has made it a natural fit to become an owner of my own business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Haha, this actually just happened earlier this year. I had two of my closest friends growing up visit for about a week and besides just hanging out at the house enjoying each other’s company we enjoyed the many different staples of Texas. A few of the places I had taken them is Buccee’s, Whataburger, Galveston and their favorite place to eat was Whiskey Cake.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are 2 people that come to mind. The first is my mother, she has taught me throughout my whole life how to treat all types of people, with respect, love and compassion. The second would be Daniel Stein, founder of Special Strong. He has continually helped me achieve and recognize my potential in my new business vednture.
