We had the good fortune of connecting with Miri Teresa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miri, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
There are so many different lessons I learned through the lifetime of my career. As an entrepreneur and founder of iMiTs Art, I’ve learned key components that have given me an understanding to continue. One of the most important lesson have been to keep creating revenue that encompass your core goals. If you move in the direction of your goals in every decision you make, it will get you to the destination you desire. There are obstacles that occur, but your decisions are what give you the opportunity to make that success still happen. Failure is an option only if you choose not to learn from it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an artisan, it is my belief that there is a message that I have to share in order to equip our people for greatness. Whether it be for financial sustainability, community awareness, or even business literacy. I want to share a message that is useful and directly effective to those who are listening. My artistry is a reflection of self awareness, self love, and a unified component of how these connect to create our narrative. Many times we get stuck because we are unsure of the next step. I believe that starting a 501c3 art nonprofit was for the collaboration of artist to come together, create a business and equip our community with a greater vision of truth. One that can be reliable, sustainable, and artistically sound. My goal is to help assist in steps unknown because we all need help seeing the bigger picture sometimes.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots in Houston is the McGovern Centennial Gardens. It is a great taste of nature that is a gem of fresh air. I enjoy connecting with the simple things and this is a beautiful sight that truly encompasses the natural side of Houston many tend to overlook

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out owner of iDivine Consulting who trusted and partnered with me in many endeavors specifically our MAP Keepers Day Initiative that honors my father whose footsteps traveled the world to protect and serve his country. Kampedia Chronicles has truly walked with me through many entrepreneurial obstacles.
