We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Realizing that we have gained so much knowledge either in education, careers, mentorships etc and we could really parlay that into building our own legacies.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide coaching and consulting services for aspiring business owners and seasoned entrepreneurs. We got started by teaching others how we built our successful from the ground up short term rental/Airbnb business so many people whom either stayed in our locations or met us from local network events would always ask “how we did it, thats how we got started with our coaching business by providing digital self paced courses as well as coaching sessions to help those that were interested in starting their own business. We are corporate career women who started and grew a successful business late in age. Everything hasnt been a bed of roses but were here to shout it out to all that you can get started at any age its not to late to take your talents and put them to work for yourself!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
favorite meal is breakfast so would definitely start off at Ellen’s then take in the art festival sites in Deep Ellum, got to pick up some food at Pecan Lodge – who doesnt love a good bbque sandwich also we would do a hop on hop off ride and go so the reunion tower – theres some really cool stuff inside and if not afraid of hieghts a great way to see the city

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
OMG so much of our progression was at the help of great mentors. From parents to spouses to supportive family/friends and strong business relationships its hard to pick just one but if I had to shine a spotlight one book that really shifted our perspective is We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers.. it had so many hidden gems and the community that surrounds it is super helpful, any aspiring entrepreneur would not regret giving it a read.
