We had the good fortune of connecting with Montana Lott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Montana, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my brand’s success is honest communication. Growing up, I was always a forthright, outspoken person. I thought I was cursed, I couldn’t help but always be myself. Sometimes that meant not fitting in.
However, as a professional dog trainer, it’s my super power. I can walk into the homes of dog parents and give them a true assessment. No false hope or wrong promises. I can help them and their family dog by being straightforward and honest. When I train dogs, I’m having a conversation with them. I communicate to each dog what’s needed and how to get there. That’s my success, that’s what makes it amazing.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Communication is the key to understanding, the key to life itself. What sets Amazing Dog Training apart is our dedication to educating pets and parents.
Dogs have to learn what each command means and how to apply the command to their real life. We teach each dog the meaning and application of their commands. This gives them clarity, confidence and self control.
Each pet parent is also educated on how to talk to their dog, interpreting body language and building a deep connecting bond.
We set ourselves apart in the industry with our straightforward approach, honest communication and one on one lessons.
Our knowledge and skills took years to develop and perfect. Initially we taught basic obedience and puppies. Now we help families with multiple dog households, rehabilitate reactive and aggressive dogs, and help build confidence in dogs who suffer from fear and anxiety.
Our story is just beginning, we’re growing and helping more families everyday.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m such a millennial – my aussie Quin is my best friend 🧡
We’d absolutely start the BEST DAY EVER at Mary Jo Peckham Park. The perfect park for the whole family. We’d walk around the lake, taking in all the nature and animals.
Then we’d have to head out to The Lazy Dog restaurant for an amazing meal on the dog friendly patio. They even have a menu for the dogs!
After lunch we’d take a swim at Deputy Goforth Dog Beach to cool off, then head to Pet Supplies Plus for a delicious treat.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Every person whom I’ve met on my journey has impacted and created the person I am today. If I had to pick just a few…
My husband, Mitchell Lott has been my rock and cheerleader as I build my career.
My partnership with the incredible Rosehill Pet Resort has created an incredible support system. And all the great trainers who have taught me, inspired me and helped educate me. If be nothing without the dog training community
