We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Riggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Integrity is one of the biggest factors in OPAL’s success.
Whether it’s simply sending an email or text to check in with a client or putting together a comprehensive game plan with photos and videos, we are committed to doing what we say we are going to do.
We created OPAL to help people understand how to move better. In order to do that, we have to prioritize integrity with our clients, colleagues, and community.
People come to us for help with pain relief, performance, and injury prevention. We serve as guides, coaches, advocates, and cheerleaders throughout their experience at OPAL. Keeping our word and acknowledging moments when we break integrity is what sets us apart from other healthcare providers and allows us to develop strong relationships with our clients so they can trust the process and accomplish their goals.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
OPAL stands for Optimize Performance, Achieve Longevity. We created the brand to help people understand HOW to move better.
We accomplish this through movement therapy. Movement therapy is a hybrid of orthopedic physical therapy, performance training, and injury prevention that helps people understand how to move better and reach their goals.
We use hands-on manual therapy techniques, corrective exercise, strength training, and lots of education to help our clients learn how to move better both in person and remotely.
We work with active adults who are motivated to learn more about how to move better. and are ready to invest time and energy in their health, body, and understanding.
We believe our values of integrity, education, and health set us apart from other healthcare providers and we are so excited to be growing as a practice and expanding our team of providers and services so we can help more people crush their goals!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would love to start off with an early morning run around Town Lake to see the Austin skyline with the sunrise. Then we could take dip in Barton Springs to cool off after the run and warm back up again with coffee at the Carpenter Hotel. We could go up to Lake Georgetown and hike the trail and jump in again. Then we could soak in some time at my house and catch up.
The next day I’d put them through a solid strength workout at Bodies By Design or Casa de Morgan. We could hit Via 313 for the Cadillac, which perfectly combines my love of cheese, pizza, and jam on toast into one. Later that evening we could see a new up and coming artist at Antones.
At some point, we’d have to check out Oseyo for some family-style Korean food and amazing black sesame ice cream. Maybe we’d take a drive out to Spicewood to see our family horse, Levi, and get a taste of the hill country. We could stop at Treaty Oak for a snack and a beverage. We could finish off the week with a few more hikes at Reimer’s Ranch or Bull Creek and have a finale meal at Tiki Tatsuya to have a really fun tropical, tiki bar experience!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to recognize Fred Sassani, owner of Bodies By Design Workout Room in Pflugerville, TX, for giving OPAL a home and for his endless support and encouragement.
Almost 2 years ago, Fred reached out to see if we would be interested in offering physical therapy services in his gym. We jumped at the opportunity and haven’t looked back since. Fred is the owner and head coach at Bodies By Design Workout Room, which is a cornerstone of the fitness community in North Austin. He has created a one-of-a-kind gym community of coaches and clients who value health, loyalty, and service.
We are so grateful to Fred and Bodies By Design for the opportunity to collaborate with his team, provide value to his clients, and help other active adults in the surrounding community.
