We had the good fortune of connecting with Mustafa Asif and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mustafa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Our family has been in the eyecare industry since the 1940’s, a profession spanning 3 generations. After moving to the United States, we started EZ Optical, in 1993. We initially started with a mobile optical model, where we brought the frames to the patient’s home or business. Something that is common today, was practiced by us 30 years ago. Since we made it easy for the patient to purchase eyewear, we named it EZ Optical.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Every eyecare practice is different. We are independent opticians, which means we are able to provide unique frames and lenses for our patients. Every individual has their own lifestyle, we analyze and suggest the best accordingly. We are proud of our history and tradition at EZ Optical. We have always believed in ourselves as the best opticians and use our abilities to help our patients. We achieved our success through hard work and perseverance. When you work with honesty and dedication, all the hurdles in life become easy. We have always valued our faith and traditions. When patients come to EZ Optical, they feel comfortable and welcomed, because for us they are our guests.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All credit in establishing our business goes to my father. He was taught about eyecare from my grandfather, and then he passed on the knowledge to me. His hard work and dedication in building our business has been the foundation of our success. Always treating people with respect and understanding the needs of everyone who walks in, even for the smallest of service, has been part of our culture since Day 1. We have never compromised on the quality of products and service.
