Meet Natasha Baker | Spiritual Alignment Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Initially, I started Bright Soul as simply a creative release. I wanted to bring attention to mental health and create a community for people to find support among like-minded individuals. Over time, it evolved from a self-healing practice into healing others. I began to learn Reiki and chakra healing, as well as working with crystals and the tarot in order to create a unique healing process now known as my “Intuitive Healing Session” which combines all of the above in order to help clients find clarity and mental peace. From the moment I took on my first one on one life coaching client, I knew that this was the path I was meant to walk.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my business despite being in an abusive relationship right at the start of COVID-19, so right off the bat I felt like all the odds were stacked against me. My personal life was quickly falling apart, but it only served to make me more determined to not only build my business but honor it as well. If I wanted to coach individuals to be their highest selves, I also had to be my highest self. That meant honoring my intuition, trusting myself enough to take the leap out of my comfort zone, and having the courage to follow through with everything I said I would do. I left my relationship, launched my business, and signed my first client within one week. After that, everything just fell into place.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is a huge, wild city. There is a lot to see and every kind of restaurant you can think of. The Houston Galleria is probably one of the most popular spots in the city. There are a lot of restaurants in that area that get national attention, such as Nobu, and the Waterwall is also a beautiful sight to see. Many famous photos of the Houston skyline have been photographed from Buffalo Bayou Park, which spans about 160 acres and includes a dog park and numerous bike trails. Lastly, no trip in Houston is complete without visiting the official visitor center of NASA, the Space Center Houston.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be here without all the people who guided me and shaped me as a healer, beginning with my first therapist, Tatianna, followed my life coach Taylor and spiritual coach Chelsie, and last but certainly not least my Reiki teachers Melissa and Taraney!
