Meet Nate D. Great | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nate D. Great and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nate, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is the presence of fear, yet the will to go on” The first time I heard this quote was from the movie “Black Knight” starring Martin Lawrence and it stands true today. It is a natural human emotion to experience fear. We’re all afraid of something. What separates people is how they deal with this fear. Courageous people tackle this head-on unaware of what’s going to happen: Like the firefighter going into a burning building or soldiers going out to war. Just like running a business, you never know what may happen, and going all-in without seeing the future can be fearful, however, I believe businesses fail once you give up. You have to keep going. This is the will to go on. You have to persevere through the challenges despite what’s going on. You can’t become discouraged and quit. You have to summon your inner courage and persevere through your fears
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an adventure traveler/niche gaming content creator. My content is uploaded to social media as well as, my website. My craft covers content that isn’t often shown by others. I tend to travel in areas off the beaten path or stream games that not everyone is used to seeing. I get excited every time when I’m creating a blog or a video because I know that it has the potential to reach a large audience and then turn into a supporter. This path isn’t easy because it relies heavily on the support of others. People have to watch your content, your audience has to subscribe, people have to share, and your audience has to comment all to boost your channel’s ranking. People don’t realize that this is hard stuff. There would be days when you put so much time and energy into creating videos and you have to keep your morale high when you don’t get the results that you want. This leads me down a rabbit hole of sleepless nights, researching other creators, taking down notes, and how can I apply the strategies I’ve learned to hone my own style of content. I’ve learned that content creators have multiple job titles that anyone could be a full-blown career: Videographer, Editor, Transcriber, Audio Engineer, Graphics Designer, Accountant, Research Analyst, Marketing Analyst, and so on. My story on this path started when I rode a bicycle from New York City to Washington D.C with a friend of mine while I documenting the processes. Anything is possible! I overcame so much and I still have obstacles and uncertainty in my path but I have a desire and a drive to make a mark in this world. The New York to D.C trip opened my mind to a world beyond New York City, and there’s so much to see! I’m learning new languages and I’m finding ways to travel to see and understand the world from more than one point of view. There was a point in my life where I thought I wouldn’t be able to go on and I’ve been running ever since. No, it’s not easy and sometimes I had little support, but I want to show that by believing in yourself and through God all things are possible. You can overcome setbacks, reset and push forward. I want to share this journey with others to show anything is possible.
