We had the good fortune of connecting with NELXART and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi NELXART, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe risk is the spark of productivity along with determination. For me, taking risk helps me get to the next level in which I’m trying to excel to. Without risk I would more than likely remain stagnant with my craft. Where for me, remaining stagnant is not an option, so taking that next step without knowing the outcome is the most best decision I could ever make.
Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Honestly, what separates me from other artist is that my art is my art. Nothing I create is replicated, it’s purely doodles that I sketch out on paper then bring them to life through canvas. I am most excited about what is to come from my style constantly growing. From the time I began painting to the work that I create now you can see the evolution of my art to where I found my own style. That is what I can state I am most proud about. I have been a lover for art since a child due to my grandfather being a painter but I was only drawing them. Over the years I found my passion with painting. At times things can be easy, but for me the challenge comes from my thoughts, you know? I overcome my thoughts by giving myself personal time before I go back to anything I’m creating. Making sure my mental state is well in order for me to perform well. So, lastly I would want the world to know that my story has not concluded it is just beginning.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would probably either go to the beach, walk or ride bikes in park, kayak, or possibly even take a day trip. I’m an adventurous person so exploring is definitely my thing but can’t forget the food. I usually try out a lot of different restaurants so the options become endless to what we could go enjoy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
What a list! Those whom have help me along the way with everything are of course family, my dear friends: Clinton, Nick, Gen, Nandi, Mary, Marquel, DaijaMack, Nique, JT, Darvin, Ivy, Charles, DJ, and Malcolm. All of these people have been apart of my journey for aslong as I can remember, have contributed to my success, and I’m grateful beyond measure for each one of them.
