We had the good fortune of connecting with Neus Mas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Neus, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My decision to pursue an artistic career was basically emotionally thought out. A creative career means that you love to create. In my case, I wanted to be able to create, capture and freeze happy days for prosperity in an image. For this reason, I decided to venture into this branch. Creating is putting your imagination to work at its best. We give originality to the final producer. When we create, we leave a part of ourselves in our work. Our works define us.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think that each artist has their magic. It is unique in the whole context of the word. I do not feel superior or better than another artist. Quite the contrary, I will always be an apprentice of each of them. I have reached this point in my artistic careers. I am motivated to learn. Knowledge shows you that you must always be learning is never enough. Learning is essential as being persistent. In this life, we ​​must fall, shake and continue. I have learned to learn. Brands are the projection of what we are as people. In my two facets as a creator, I want to gift moments of happiness to people. Nothing is more rewarding than building seconds of happiness. A single second of joy is better than nothing. From second to second, we make a life. For example, in the photographic field, we capture the positive emotions of an event in an image, and over the years, when we see that image again, we can feel the same sentiment. And with the ​​exercise between dance and yoga, you offer the person a moment of unique happiness and well-being. For a few seconds, we leave our problems behind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to cover some photography or dance event with me so that I can feel the energy that it feels to be surrounded by a group of people who are being happy. Emotions are contagious. That’s why we must choose which group of people we want to be. On the other hand, I would like to share with my friend the experience of getting to know the most emblematic places in Houston, such as the water wall, strolling downtown, and cycling in Buffalo Bayou Park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Initially, my recognition is to God, who allows all the opportunities in our lives to occur together with our effort. Later, family and friends who are always decisive in our history.
