We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always been an entrepreneur since I was twenty years old, and I’ve always had the willingness and ambition to go after what I want in life. Therefore the adversities that I faced and experienced from being an entrepreneur; I know exactly what it feels like to succeed, fail, and pick have to pick myself back up to start from scratch. Therefore, I understand the process of what it takes and the risks that comes along with it. You can’t be willing to be afraid to take a chance on yourself, you will never know what you are capable of unless you do. If there is one thing I’m willing to bet on is myself. I’m my biggest fan, I don’t need validation or anyone to motivate me to be the best me.

I never want to be the person that looks back on my life and regret not doing something. I’d rather be the person that looks back on my life to say, “I really should not have did that, lol.”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am Realtor in Houston, I love all things about real estate. I have always been passionate about helping others, and so naturally I have excelled in my career in the real estate industry. A lot of business comes from referrals from people that have used my services from previous entrepreneur endeavors. I’ve built long lasting relationships, and I’ve always been committed to delivering excellent service with integrity. Therefore, in turn I am well trusted in my network of people to demonstrate excellence as a realtor in Houston.

The most rewarding feeling as realtor is my ability to help others accomplish their goals to become a homeowner. What I would like people to know about me as a realtor, is that you’re getting a lifetime friend, not just a realtor. As far as conducting real estate business, I can guarantee that I’ll get you to the closing table.

When I experience challenges, I always remind myself of this scripture, “To whom much is given, much will be required,” and that keeps me focused.
I am most proud of being an example to my daughter, because she’s seen me cry, fail, and succeed and get back up several times on my journey. It’s given her a real depiction of what life really looks like. I hope it has given her the self confidence that she needs in life, when faced with adversities to never quit on herself!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am really laid back, and I like spending time at home with candles lit, fresh flowers, and having a glass of wine. I love to cook and entertain guests, so having some type of themed house party to invite people over is exciting to me. However, I have a couple of restaurants that I regularly go to.
I love Brennan’s of Houston, Maestros, Willie Gs, Bloom & Bee’s, Toulhouse, Georgia James, Eddie Vs, Lost and Found,The Greasy Spoon, MAD, Bisou etc…. I love a restaurant that has a nice ambiance. There are so many good restaurants in Houston, I can go on and on for days.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mentor Shawn Eaglin who is a Realtor Mogul in Houston. She is the epitome of grace, class, style and mostly she is a genuine person. She gives the best advice, and she is never judgmental, and I love her for that.
