We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikki, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important thing my business career has taught me is to be prepared for the unexpected and to never stop learning. Things can change quickly and you have to be ready with some form of response. Covid was a perfect example of this. Virtual organizing was already something I was learning to do when the pandemic hit.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Just Us Organizing you matter to us! We want to share the benefits of being organized while offering customized solutions based on your space and lifestyle. We specialize in residential organizing and move assistance. Our goal is to make sure that during your time with our team you feel like you’re being heard and understood. You are our focus. Never any judgment, just us organizing your space and creating lasting results.

We’re most excited about our recent rebranding. When I started the company in 2014 all I knew was that I wanted to organize and that I had the skills to do so. This rebrand is personal. I know who I am as a business owner and what I want to accomplish. Changing the slogan to You Matter To Us was a personal message to my clients. Your home is your place of rest and I want to restore that peace for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My friends love to eat, laugh, and relax.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to Shoutout the NAPO(National Association of Productivity and Professional Organizers) Houston Chapter for their support. I joined the National Association in 2014 and Houston Chapter in 2015. I was welcomed immediately by several of the members. They allowed me to pick their brains, shadow them on jobs, and shared several books and classes that helped me increase my knowledge as a professional organizer. I am still a member today and still work with several of them on large projects and during community outreach events. Even though I have found several other organizations that are just as welcoming I am forever grateful to the Houston Chapter for their support of my business.
