We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikolas Anders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikolas, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was time for me to make a move. I left 2 good jobs because I wanted to do something I’m passionate about. It was time to mature from a hustler into a businessman, and even now, I’m still learning and growing.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m more than just a basketball trainer and coach. I’m a specialist at what I do because of the time and preparation that goes into every session any client books with me. It doesn’t matter if it’s a $25 Tuesday group workout or a private tailored workout, each client gets a high quality session because I care just that much. I love what I do and I love that my clients get closer and closer to their goals, so I truly do give them the best I can every single time. Constantly adjusting and studying is how I got to where I am right now. Nothing at all has been easy. Every day there’s a challenge and an obstacle to overcome, but that’s just life. You can’t fold up. Everything worth having is worth working for and waiting for. How you handle struggle and adversity is what separates those who really want it, from those who don’t. It’s never gonna be easy, but over time you learn to handle certain things better. I’m learning new things every day.
One thing the world would know about me is that I am very proud of my work, and I am only getting better and better. That’s why I celebrate the accomplishments of all of my athletes. I’m happy to be a part of their player enhancement journey.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t really go out much, I’m more the type to just enjoy the company of the people I’m with. I’d just ask what they’d be interested in doing and we would try to make it happen. I could be pretty much anywhere and enjoy myself because I place a high value experiences and relationships.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God first, because I’m nothing without Him, but I’d also like to shout out the Dash Elite Basketball family and all of my clients and players who have ever allowed me to be a part of their growth, from NYC to HTX. They continuously show love and support, and I’d like to thank all of them for putting their trust in me. Also any coach who has given me any bit of an opportunity to learn and grow, thank you too.
