We had the good fortune of connecting with Paco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paco, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Music has definitely always been a passion of mine ever since I was a child and early on I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life. There was something about the loss of control in my head that pushed me into wanting to illicit those emotions in others. Its cathartic being on stage or finishing a recording session. Its a release for me emotionally and its the most addicting feeling in the world. I want others to understand where I am coming from and see things the way I do even if its just for a song.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our music is a combination of three creatives with, wildly different backgrounds in music, getting together and making something fresh and new. We constantly strive to push the barriers of the indie rock music genre while creating something we have full confidence and integrity in. It has taken countless late nights and many hours of lost sleep to get as far as we have, with no sign of stopping anytime soon. It can be a challenge to find a balance in our work life but when you are passionate about something all of the sacrifices and hard work are worth it. We really just want to make the world a brighter place with our music and strive to inspire others to follow their dreams whatever creative endeavor they want to pursue.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
With a city as big as Houston Texas there is something for everybody. If your looking for food there is no short supply of amazing places such as Niko Niko’s greek food, Love Buzz pizza or my personal favorite, Kura Revolving sushi bar, But where Houston really shines is the live music/ night life scene. Some of the best places for live music around town include, Leon’s Lounge, Avant Garden, Continental club, Acadia Bar and grill, Big Top Charlie’s, White Oak Music Hall, House of Blues, and this is just the tip of the iceberg
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Really the biggest shout out I can give is to my family and band mates who have supported me during this entire fever dream I call a career. My parents Clara and Israel have been my number one fans till this day and I know I wouldn’t be doing what I do now without their love and support from the beginning. The other people that deserve all the credit is my brothers in music and the best band mates any one could ask for, Jesus Carlos and Travis Bryant. They are able to take the vague ideas and direction that flows out of my brain and help me shape it into our music. I may write the songs but the input and creativity they bring to every rehearsal breathe our music into existence. They constantly challenge me to be a better musician and songwriter while being the nicest friends anybody could ask for.
