We had the good fortune of connecting with Padon Suber and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Padon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Music has always been a passion of mine. In my younger days, I would write and compose songs, but they remained tucked away on paper. It wasn’t until I started sharing my work with friends and companions, who gave me tremendous feedback, that I realized my art deserved to be shared. Their encouragement made me see that others could relate to the themes in my music and that I had a natural talent for songwriting and creating. From that moment, I decided to take a leap of faith and step away from the conventional 9-to-5 job. I’ve never looked back since.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art manifests through music, and I proudly identify as an artist because my creations span across a variety of genres. This versatility not only expands the audience I can reach but also enhances the ways I can express myself. As a producer, I’m proficient in multiple instruments and genres, and my adaptability in creative writing allows me to effectively collaborate with other artists on their projects. Promoting your own brand comes with its challenges, but the key is consistency—success doesn’t happen overnight. Embrace your mistakes boldly; they are invaluable learning experiences that help you refine your craft. My brand, P.Sub Productions, is built on the belief that “Music is not to hear. It is to feel.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston has so many places, the breakfast klub has great breakfast!!!! Visiting anywhere in the museum district is sure to be enjoyable, lunch at Mo’ better, “Martinis n’ more” really does have the best martinis !! The night scene for social gathering would be McIntyre’s, Houston so inviting and friendly. Could literally take a bike/scooter ride downtown and run into some exciting people at random,
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to take a moment to recognize a few incredible people who have been instrumental in my journey. First, my big brother Phillip G. Suber Jr. and my sister Remi Carter, who have always stood by me, encouraging my consistency with their unyielding support. Gabriel Turner, who has never missed a single performance and continuously shares valuable insights to help me grow. A big shout-out to Blaque Vinyls, a local Houston band that frequently gives me the chance to showcase my original work. Aries Fire, a newly rising AR team, has been guiding me in the right direction.Jazmine Berry – her voice was the one that inspired me to take that crucial first step into my music career.Lastly, my parents have been my number one supporters and always will be.
