We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Burgess and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business came about after I saw a need for young adults who wanted to travel, but struggled with having the time or patience to research and create vacation plans. I am a self proclaimed travel buff and I was constantly inundated with questions while I traveled about how I booked my activities, details about where I stayed (hotels/airbnbs), and questions about the vibes of each city I traveled to. I think of Blank Paige Itinerary as a liaison between travel experiences and travel planning.
What should our readers know about your business?
Blank Paige Itinerary sets itself apart from typical travel agencies by offering preset and custom travel itineraries. What I’m most proud of is our ability to relate with our clients. We know exactly what 20 somethings are seeking on their vacations- exhilarating nightlife, remarkable food, and unique experiences! Although our launch campaign went seamlessly, launching Blank Paige Itinerary was not easy. Even with my countless personal travel experience, I had a lot to learn about building a business, which was daunting. Imposter syndrome got the best of me many times and I had to fight through negative self-thinking. I learned that business can never truly be mastered. I am constantly adjusting my approach and learning how to better my business as it evolves. If you’re looking to launching your own brand, I encourage you to be adaptable. If I’m being honest, nothing about my Blank Paige Itinerary has gone according to “plan” and it has worked blissfully. Do not be stuck in your ways, be open to change because your business can teach you so much.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will be releasing a Houston Itinerary very soon, but here is what a day in Houston would look like for me. It’s Friday afternoon when you land and you head to Pappasitos for some fabulous Tex-Mex food and margaritas (the steak fajitas are amazing!) . You’ll check in to your hotel shower and refresh, followed by a helicopter tour of the city. Then you’ll dine at the decadent Willie G’s. The night is still young so you go to Washington Avenue. You can go to Sugar Room- an upscale speakeasy or you can put on your sneakers and bar hop. That’s just touching the surface, for Saturday and Sunday Funday itineraries, you’ll have to head to blankpaigitinerary.com.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
From the start, I have been absolutely blown away by the outpouring of support from my friends and family. They have been some of my first clients and are always eager to share Blank Paige Itinerary with anyone who will listen. I am so grateful for their support and encouragement, and I’m looking forward to being a continuous part of the special memories they create while traveling.
