We had the good fortune of connecting with Peyton Moss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peyton, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to help couples curate the perfect day in a comfortable setting. Family and friends can confuse you when decision making so having a professional to help guide you is crucial for your peace of mind as you prepare for your big day!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Owning your own business is definitely not for the weak… but it truly has been such a blessing! The people I have met along the way, have been absolutely incredible. What makes us different, is we have packages that are completely tailored to you,first you start with your base services (which are all the bare necessities you need for coordination) and you build the package you want from there! We do not have cookie cutter packages because everyone is different and no two weddings are the same.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My dad is the primary inspiration for me starting my own business. I always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but never could figure out the foundation to get there. As an entrepreneur himself, he guided me and showed me how to stand out amongst others. “Sunshine Events” comes for the song he and I shared all throughout my childhood which is “You Are My Sunshine”. I remember when we would sing it to each other it would give me peace of mind, and relief from whatever may have been going on and that is the same feeling I want to provide all of our couples with.
Unfortunately, just 19 days before the official launch of Sunshine Events my dad lost his long hard fight against cancer. I want my company to be a reflection of his legacy and the love he had for those around him.
