We had the good fortune of connecting with Phillip Fontenot and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Phillip, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My first thought was helping people be healthier. My first client was type two diabetic and after 6 weeks they were no longer taking medication or diabetic. This made me understand that the physical aspect alone was not enough. So now I focus on lifestyle change.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I can train a large group of people all with individual workouts without any one person doing the same thing at the same time. This allows me to give a supportive group atmosphere with personalized workouts and nutrition to fit the individual needs for maximum results. Sorry to burst the bubble but there is no one system or format that works for all. But this also keeps me busy because I design workouts for all those clients and for my online clients. My app keeps me non-stop 7 days a week.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really don’t know. Shame on me but I always have people I can refer them too for sites and spots. I’m still learning what I like.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
