We had the good fortune of connecting with Pro4ecy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pro4ecy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is scary, but it’s true. Risk helps us see who we truly are. Think about it! Everyone thinks they can do anything until a risk comes to play. People like security. All our lives we’ve been told to find something secure.

Risk taking has played a very important role in my career. I plan things put for the possible best outcome; but life will happen. Some of the things I do are risky. Flossing with razor blades to holding my breath underwater trying to escape. It’s a risk, but it catches people’s attention.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I guess what sets me apart from any other is: in a world were everyone wants to be famous, I just want to have fun. Creativity excites me and I like learning the bts.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve done a lot, but I realize there’s more for me to do. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it was damn sure built in a year. I’m just trying to build my Rome.

I got to where I am professionally by just being me. I plan things all the time and not just plan, but deep root those ideas. It’s not enough to work hard nowadays. You have to plan.

It wasn’t easy. Some stuff yes, a lot no. You as an artist need support, and you have to learn to go outside friends and family, cause you’ll quickly realize they aren’t your biggest support. You have to accept last minute projects, and rely on things that normally you would. Once again taking a risk. Through all this confidence got me through and my friends William and Svendspyt.

Lessons I’ve learned are: just have a good time. Nothing is written in stone and it can all end tomorrow. People come and go, a bridge can always be rebuilt, and the BIGGEST ONE, whatever you choose to do, you’ve already done. You’re just on a different stage.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Take them downtown. There’s always something going on. It’s so hard to pinpoint exactly where I’d take them. They came in from out of town to see Houston, I’m going to show them H-Town!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give a huge shout out to my friends, Alexander “Svendspyt” Nyeland & William Avila. From the beginning those two have stuck with me from the beginning and gave me love and support.
