Hi Rashell, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The inspiration from my parents, who successfully run their own remodeling business, Merino Remodeling, played a significant role in my decision to start my own business. Witnessing their hard work and sacrifices, I understood the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. Their journey inspired me to create Casa De Lashes, where I could combine my love for beauty and detail with my desire to help others feel their best.

Since I was young, I’ve always paid great attention to detail and found peace creating in my own space. In college, I learned to thread my own eyebrows and practiced on friends, discovering a passion for beauty and precision.

After spending two years in San Antonio trying to find my path while pursuing a college degree, I realized I was in the wrong environment and decided to move back to my hometown of Houston, TX. Upon returning, I juggled multiple full-time and part-time jobs while still searching for my ideal career. Despite being grateful for all the opportunities and experience, I quickly grew frustrated.

I worked long hours at a private surgical hospital and a doctor’s office, performing various roles and giving my all to help improve the quality of life for others—a core value I hold dear. However, no matter how much effort I put in, I often felt overworked and unfulfilled. It was through these experiences that I realized I wanted to create something of my own, where I could channel my passion for meticulous work and make a lasting impact on others. This led me to establish Casa De Lashes, a bespoke lash extension service that embodies the care, precision, and luxury I value so deeply.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Due to the meticulous way I like to work, my most important objective is to create tailored lashes that uniquely fit each individual who comes to me. While I always consider the type of set my clients are looking for, I offer my professional advice to guide them through a satisfying and luxurious experience. I also take the time to educate my clients about the health and maintenance of their lashes to ensure they get the most out of each appointment and set. In addition to lash extensions, I also provide expert eyebrow and facial threading services, enhancing the overall beauty and grooming experience for my clients.

What sets me apart is my dedication to customization and client education. Over time, I’ve learned that beauty lies in uniqueness, and I embrace this philosophy in my work. I want everyone to feel the beauty of their individuality through their lashes.

Getting to where I am today professionally was not easy. I faced many challenges, from finding the right career path to managing the demands of entrepreneurship. Overcoming these challenges required perseverance, a willingness to learn, and support from my loved ones. One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of listening to and valuing each client’s unique needs and preferences.

I want the world to know that Casa De Lashes is not just about lash extensions; it’s about providing a personalized, luxurious experience that enhances the natural beauty of each client. My brand is built on the principles of meticulous care, professional guidance, and a deep appreciation for the individuality of each person. Through Casa De Lashes, I aim to make everyone feel special and confident in their own unique beauty.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As I mentioned before, first and foremost, I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to my parents and their business, Merino Remodeling. Their dedication and hard work have been a constant source of inspiration for me. My sister, Daniela Perez, deserves special recognition for encouraging me to get my lash certification, which set me on the path to where I am today. My brother, Cristian Merino, has been invaluable as my finance counselor, leveraging his degree in finance to help me legitimize and manage my business effectively.

Lastly, I must acknowledge my biggest supporter and right hand, Manuel Molina. His unwavering encouragement to follow my heart and pursue what makes me happiest has been instrumental. More than just offering words of support, Manuel has helped me navigate the uncomfortable truths of entrepreneurship and has been an essential member of my marketing team. Each of these individuals has played a crucial role in my journey, and I am deeply grateful for their support and contributions.
