We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhian Collier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhian, what do you want people to remember about you?
I’m building my legacy, one brick at a time, a decade at a time. Rooted in kindness and positive results I want to be rewarded and remembered for my hard work and dedication to my craft and customers. I hope to be remembered for how I served my community, uplifted those in it, and created meaningful connections through my work and actions. I also want to be known as a multifaceted woman— someone who inspired growth, celebrated individuality, and created spaces where others felt valued and supported. My goal is to leave behind a legacy that inspires others to lead with authenticity, continuously learn, and make a difference in the lives of those around them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most proud of the planning and faith I’ve invested into my success. I chose to approach my career the right way— legally and strategically. Instead of rushing into the beauty industry without a license or a clear plan, I decided to take the time to properly prepare myself. I put my pursuit of a graduate degree on hold to focus on skill development by enrolling into esthetician school. This step was essential to ensure I stood out from my competitors and had a solid understanding of the products, services, and techniques I’d be offering.
Professionally, I’ve transitioned from one of the top five global conglomerates to a growing healthcare non-profit — and now in the works of pursuing my next career move. Has it been easy? Not at all. But is it worth it? Absolutely. I want the world to know that success, for me, is a marathon, not a sprint, and I’m committed to the long haul.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Houston for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the best the city has to offer. We’d start the trip with a hearty breakfast at The Breakfast Klub, where they could enjoy some classic Southern comfort food. Depending on their vibe, we’d spend the afternoon exploring Buffalo Bayou Park for a scenic walk or head to Andretti’s for some adrenaline-pumping go-kart racing. For drinks and a lively atmosphere, Joey Uptown’s would be the perfect evening stop. Throughout the week, I’d tailor the itinerary to their interests, whether that’s indulging in Houston’s diverse food scene, experiencing the vibrant nightlife, or checking out local attractions that make the city so exciting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The most important factors behind my success is my faith in God and the support of my village. I give all praise to Him because, without His guidance, none of this would be possible. He blessed me with the ability to tap into my creative mind and use my hands to create art, which I’m able to channel into my work in the beauty industry. God keeps me grounded, and my village keeps me steady. Every step of my journey has been guided by His grace, and I strive to honor that by using my talents to uplift others, enhance their natural beauty, and help them feel confident in who they are.
