We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruchi Sharma and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruchi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

I started this business because I wanted to inspire people to live life to the fullest and not give in to mediocrity. About 5 years back my own personal transformation and significant breakthroughs in life brought me to a beautiful landmark. From there many significant changes followed, from healing chronic illness to healing relationships to attracting meaningful work in life. I wanted to share that with the world and I wanted to pay it forward. At the same time, I wanted to fill my days with the work that I deeply loved and cared about. I had a deep passion for service, for creativity, for personal development. After quitting my job as a Marketing Executive at Yelp, Inc. I felt an intense pull towards Coaching Industry. Today I help my clients discover endless possibilities in life. From time management to gaining confidence and clarity, they go on to discover their true potential while creating exciting results in life.

What should our readers know about your business?

One of the top values, that my business is based on, is service. I believe in not just delivering a great service but over-delivering an excellent service. I believe in feedback forms. I believe in questionnaires. I believe in surprise bonuses. I meet my clients where they are in life. I create a very safe and comfortable environment for them to drop their guard and open up to a world of possibilities. One of my innate talents is intuitive guidance. That becomes a powerful asset in assisting my clients in seeing themselves and their life situation clearly. From there we take concrete, actionable and accountable steps towards growth and a healthy positive mindset. This helps in creating momentum and many exciting results in life.

I have had my fair share of challenges and still continue to do so. But there are really only two critical traits that are needed to succeed in entrepreneurship and that are- an unshakable belief in yourself and a focused and dedicated mind. Skills can be learned and talent can be finessed over time, but to create anything worthwhile, will take your everyday focus and everyday belief building workout. And how you do that is by giving yourself the right environment.

Having the best mentors, coaches by your side can help you stay focused and accountable to your journey. I would say my secret sauce to the success I have had over the years is that I have surrounded myself with the best of the best mentors. Mentors who have believed in me more than I have believed in myself. How many people do you meet in an everyday life who are willing to see that in you? Who are truly happy for you? Who are willing to provide their relentless support, accountability and guidance to you? I’d say the chances are very rare.

There have been innumerable lessons that I have learned along the way but one key lesson that I have learned the hard way is to not KILL myself for my dream, rather ‘LIVE’ my way to my dream. Majority of the clients who come to me are high-achieving, conscious entrepreneurs whose souls are aching to fulfill their desires. Instead they find themselves depleted, in a rabbit hole of negative self talk, emptiness, half-hearted relationships and struggling finances and health. Majority of them are burned out by the constant ‘hustle’ and rarely feel any balance and harmony in life.

I believe in working smart. I believe in balance and harmony. I believe in love and the sweetness of a deeply loving relationship. I am very happy to say that my clients go on to create their dream businesses while feeling younger, while finding their ideal romantic partners, while deepening their current relationships and while truly enjoying life. After all, a well-lived life is a worthy life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I love the Houston museum district. I would definitely be taking my friend there. We would grab vegan burgers from Shake-Shack at Rice Village and then we would head on over to Zoo. We would indulge in lot of cotton candy and ice cream. I would definitely take them to NASA. My favorite part is to watch the Saturn-5. We would make tons of Pano-shots. We would then stop over for a great Indian buffet meal.

I would definitely take them out for shopping at Galleria and at Rice Village. Making a stop at Chocolate Bar.

My favorite part of where I live in Sugarland are the beautiful scenic lakes. We would be going for many morning walks while bird watching around scenic lakes.

Food will be the main event planner for our week as I love how Houston offers so many diverse and ethnic food options to indulge in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

While I have been reading and learning from many mentors like Marie Forleo, Brendon Burchard, Tony Robbins since 2012 but my real transformation came about 5 years back with 1 book= Louise Hay’s – You can heal your life. I was dealing with a chronic illness at that time and a physical discomfort which made me question everything about my life. I was desperate for a change and willing to be radical in my approach to my healing. That is when I discovered Louise Hay.

Louise quickly became “Mama Louise” for me as it was her who showed me the way to my freedom was to accept and love myself just the way I am. As I continued to do the inner work recommended by Louise Hay, I saw my life changing.

I would also like to dedicate this shout out to my family and my Coaches who have patiently watched me grow. Without their constant support and love, it would have been a way harder journey.
