We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruth Rede and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ruth, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I always was fascinated by the beauty in people , I wanted to be involved and be a part of it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an artist wasn’t easy I always felt like I wasn’t good enough.. But I had children that looked up to me so I always kept a positive outlook on life and just kept going for them. I wanted them to be proud of their mother. And I wanted to be proud of myself which I’m definitely am now.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in San Marcos and when I first got here my fiancée took me to special places that made little impacts on my life here and there.. I’d take them first to have a burger at a place called showdown ❤️ Then an amazing jalapeño margarita at a bar called zelicks then dinner would have to be at my house because my fiancée is such an amazing chef.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My story begin at the age of 18 Erica Andrews and Michael Gill taught me how to do makeup I learned and watched so many different techniques and when I didn’t get it right the first time I never gave up because they didn’t allow me to.
