We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruth Spradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruth, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It was almost 4 years ago now and we had seen a company creating yard balloons in Dallas and in Austin so we started to research what it might take to start the concept in Houston and we are so glad we did. Creating these gigantic yard balloons to celebrate birthdays has been so much fun. We recently started to create more themed balloons and this has allowed us to be creative and bring more life to the balloons. Its truly been an amazing experience. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My entrepreneurship journey has not been easy these past few years yet it has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy being creative and I put my heart and soul when making the yard balloon designs. It is fun for me to custom make every single design. I have always been a creative artist and in my past I have painted and made floral arrangements. When I decided to start this company I knew it would be a lot of work so with the help of my daughter we embarked on the journey. I am very particular and detailed and that is what sets me apart from other balloon artists. I spend a lot of time designing the yard balloon so that my clients are happy with my services. My ideas are unique and my balloon designs bring smiles to all the people I serve.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my family for all their support and encouragement to start this business. In was not easy at my age to start a new adventure and they have been incredibly supportive and have helped me feel confident in the decision.
