We had the good fortune of connecting with SADA Baltimore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SADA, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Integrity is the value that I would say matters most to me. Integrity is holding a position which stands out above the rest. It is ensuring that the highest quality of care is given to any person, situation or thing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have kept faith in what I believe I can do. So as long as I continue to keep going despite what it looks like in front of me I know there has to be victory in the end. I have funded my business through personal finances and no one knows the challenges or struggles I’ve faced. It has been and is still a challenge. However, I keep a smile on my face, positive thoughts and determined to overcome the challenges. I try not to allow myself to become over taken by distractions. Whatever they may be. When you do that’s when you lose focus. I am a small business owner and the lessons have been many so far. The one thing I can say is to stand firm, stay grounded and set the Standards for your brand because if you don’t others will. I am most proud of The Sada Baltimore Experience. It is an event I have created for my Clientele who are attending prom. I am passionate about the youth and I am constantly trying to figure out ways to give and help them develop along their path to success. My brand is about transforming individuals into the greatest version of themselves they can be. Sometimes one word, phrase, gesture or experience is enough to change the direction of a persons life. We are “Building Our Community with Fashion”.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my 3 sons. They have been my greatest support and cheerleaders on my journey. There are truly no words to express my gratitude to each of them. Also, I was also introduced via TED talk a booked by Simone Sinek entitled ” Start with Why”. I was trying to figure out how to fit into such a competitive market. My main goal is to be true to myself and my purpose. Yet, I was feeling the pull to do what I felt would help me increase clientele. Produce what everyone is producing to get the masses. The booked helped me to realize that it’s okay to stay true to who I am and what I like because there are others who like even love what I like and love. The greatest influence of the book is the why. Why I do what I do is what continues to push me forward.
