We had the good fortune of connecting with Samaria Munford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samaria, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My end goal is to become a celebrity MUA. I also want to own multiple Beauty Bar’s in numerous states. I am going to be one of the top MUA’s across the world!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started doing my own makeup at about 14years old. Playing in different eyeshadows, and wearing lipgloss. At the age of 16, I became better with eyeshadows. By 18, I had my own makeup down packed. I loved doing my own makeup no matter the occasion. Over the years people would always tell me I should start doing makeup. But I didn’t have the desire to start. One day my God Sister Egyptian had a long talk with me and encouraged me to start doing makeup. After having my mom, God Sister, and sister-in-law, also my best friend, and close friend Ashley continue to push me to start accepting clients. I finally just started October of 2022. Ever since I have never looked back. Starting was anything short of easy because I was afraid of failing. I wanted to be the best at it. I overcame my challenges by not giving up. No matter how much of a challenge it was. Putting myself, and my business out to the world. Along with getting booked, I never ever gave up. I knew that God blessed me with a wonderful talent that I couldn’t let go to waste. My greatest lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that, it gets better. People are watching you, strangers are rooting for you. The more time you put into your business, and your craft the better it becomes. Also, to never ever stop praying. Put God first in all that you want and do. I want the world to know that I will keep going. This is just the beginning for me. I take pride in my work, my name, my business. I am professional, and very kind to all of my clients. I take my time and I put my all into enhancing every clients beauty. I want them to return, leave great reviews, and tell others about me. I treat every client as if they are me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, even though I am a fan of enjoying life outside of my city. We do have a few places that are enjoyable. I would take my best friend to AVO Modern Mexican, it’s a really good taco place. They have amazing drinks and tacos. I would also take him to 16-Bit Bar+Arcade which is like an adult arcade and bar. It’s so much fun and the drinks are amazing also, and it’s affordable. Now for dinner I’d take him to one of my favorite restaurants which is M.L. Tavern. Then for a night out of partying we’d just go down to the flats to hit a couple of bars and party.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
