Meet Sara Englishbee

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Englishbee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Closing Collective Team is a real estate team based in North Houston, and what sets us apart is simple: we’re not trying to be the loudest in the room …we’re trying to be the most trusted. We built this brand on authenticity, consistency, and a culture that feels like community. We’re relationship-driven, but we’re also strategic, modern, and high-standard about how we do business.
When Kelly Staubs, Kayla Sargent, and I first started building The Closing Collective, we knew we didn’t want to create something that felt cookie-cutter. Real estate is full of the same scripts, the same marketing, and the same “perfect” image , but that’s not real life, and it’s not real leadership. We wanted a brand that felt bold, honest, and human. We show up with personality, we tell the truth, and we don’t sugarcoat the process , but we also make it feel exciting and empowering for our clients.
One of the things we’re most proud of is the culture we’ve created. The Closing Collective isn’t just about selling homes ,it’s about building people. We’ve built a team where agents feel supported, where business partners are truly valued, and where collaboration wins over competition every time. We’ve created something that people want to be part of ,not because it looks good online, but because it feels good behind the scenes.
Business-wise, getting here was not easy, and I think that’s an important part of our story. It took a lot of late nights, uncomfortable growth, and learning things the hard way. It took showing up even when it felt like no one was watching. It took being willing to hear “your vision & goals are unrealistic” ,to be underestimated, and to keep going anyway. There were moments where it would’ve been easier to play small, blend in, or build a brand that felt safer… but that’s not who we are.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned along the way is that consistency will beat talent every single time. Showing up, staying disciplined, doing the work when it’s hard, and leading with integrity matters. Another lesson is that the right people will always change everything, and that’s why I’m so intentional about who we build with, who we partner with, and who we bring into our circle.
What we want the world to know about The Closing Collective is this: we’re not here to be average, and we’re not here to be like everyone else. We’re building a brand that is bold, modern, community-driven, and rooted in real relationships. We care deeply about our clients, we love the people we serve, and we believe that success is meant to be shared …not gatekept.
And if we can do all of that while bringing a little humor, personality, and realness to an industry that sometimes takes itself too seriously? Even better.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d give them the full North Houston experience — Mexican food, wine, lake life, and all the local spots that make this area feel like home. We love places that feel fun but still laid back… and we’re big on supporting local.
Day 1: The Woodlands Welcome Night
We’d start in The Woodlands with a great dinner and then spend the evening at The Waterway. It’s the perfect “first night in town” vibe — pretty, lively, and it feels like a mini getaway without leaving the area.
Day 2: Magnolia Day
This would be the true local day. Magnolia is all about that small-town feel — good coffee, great food, and the kind of places where everyone feels like they know each other. It’s slower, it’s cozy, and it’s one of the reasons people fall in love with living here.
Day 3: Mexican Food + Margarita Night
A full Mexican dinner night is non-negotiable. We have so many good spots in this area, and it’s always the kind of night that turns into “okay… one more round” because the vibes are too good.
Day 4: Lake Conroe Day
Lake Conroe is one of the most underrated parts of North Houston. We’d spend the day on the water, hit a lakeside restaurant, and basically let them live their best “this feels like vacation” life.
Day 5: Tomball + Old Town Spring Day (Boutiques + Local Favorites)
This would be our shopping and local fun day. We’d start in Old Town Tomball for the boutiques, lunch, and that small-town charm. Then we’d head to Old Town Spring — which is one of the cutest places to spend an afternoon, with unique shops, local spots, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
Day 6: Houston Day Trip
We’d do at least one full Houston day for the food scene and the energy. Brunch, a fun area to explore, and something happening that weekend — Houston always has options.
Day 7: Brunch + Wine + Slow Day
Last day would be brunch, a wine spot, and a slower pace — the kind of day that makes you want to stay a little longer.
What makes this area special
What I love most about North Houston — Magnolia, Tomball, Conroe, The Woodlands — is that you get the best mix of everything: community, great food, lake life, and city access. It’s family-friendly, but still fun. Relaxed, but not boring. And there are so many hidden gems you’d never find unless someone local showed you.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without question, my shoutout goes to Kelly Staubs and Kayla Sargent. They deserve so much credit in this story because they didn’t just support an idea , they believed in a vision that only existed in my head at the time.
When The Closing Collective was still just a concept, they trusted me. They trusted the direction, the culture, and the standards we were building. And honestly? In an industry like real estate, that kind of trust is everything. They weren’t just along for the ride, they helped me shape the brand, build the foundation, and bring it to life in a way that actually stands out.
They’ve backed me not only as a team lead, but as a leader and a business owner …and that’s rare.
I’ll always be grateful for the way they’ve shown up, poured into the vision, and trusted me with their business, their reputation, and their growth.
Because at the end of the day, you can have the best ideas in the world…
but it takes the right people believing in it with you to turn it into something real.
