Meet Savannah Martin | Event Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always dreamed of owning my own business and being my own boss. Owning a a business gives you a freedom that you don’t find elsewhere, and a sense of accomplishment and success.. I am able to work at my own pace in my own ways doing what I love.

I’m passionate about being creative and I love being able to share my creations with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I run a floral design business and have recently expanded into wedding/event planning as well. I am most proud of the fact that I have accomplished lots of growth in the past five years. It’s an amazing feeling to look back and realize you used to dream of where you are now in your business. There we and still are definitely a lot of learning curves, but it has allowed me to gain tons of experience and has built my professional character.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love hanging out in The Woodlands, it’s a super cute town and has the best as well restaurants! I would definitely recommend Hughes Landing for some fine dining places, or if you’re into Macarons or gelato!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A lot of my support comes from my husband, Cameron. He has pushed me out of my comfort zone and supported every wild idea since the beginning. It’s important to have one person you can lean on for honest advice and unconditional support throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
