We had the good fortune of connecting with Shalanda Noble and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shalanda, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Killer Brands is a company that is determine to help the community by helping minority and small business owners start, manage and scale their business through brand and Marketing efforts. we also partner with other brands to offer give free brand packages to female owned starts ups.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is a statement about my company. We brand companies with strategies that places our clients in the best position to win financially. We pride ourselves on delivering marketing materials that make our clients stand out among the competition in their industry, My journey in entrepreneurship hasn’t been easy. From gaining new clients, financing equipment and staying on top of the ever changing world of design software it has given me a few headaches. (well maybe more, ha) but still has been rewarding, ever time I get a client review who has completely fallen in love with their brand. Killer brands will continue to develop and scale brands to become a complete powerhouse in todays market.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Welllll First we have to take a ride downtown so I can show off the beautiful city of New Orleans.
We would have brunch on Magazine Street at Ruby Slipper Café while sharing Mimosas.
Next we would Stroll downtown New Orleans and take a street car ride.
We have to stop and get some wings and things from New Orleans own We dat Chicken and Shrimp.
then hop the GNO bridge to head over to Gretna to visit Whitney J Decor Interior Design Studio. One of my favorite places for interior furniture and a beautiful studio to view and buy beautiful décor pieces. While on the Westside we’ll grab some more food from Street Grub and catering, some of the best food on the West bank of New Orleans. Shopping at River walk and Canal Place and A little black jack at Harris casino. Then we have to get drinks from Carre’ Restaurant and Bar. the small plates and drinks are great. the music and atmosphere is bomb. And to finish the night off we will head Treehouse, Nola a nice outdoor nightlife experience with great drinks and views.
Hope they had fun.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out other women of color who are breaking barriers and paving pathways. They inspire me to go hard!
