We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanterria Jackson, Phoenix Harden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanterria, Phoenix, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success is Authenticity. From the mommy and me photos to the cultural inclusion, it’s simply the essence of who we are. We are just excited that we get to share what we love with everyone else.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Professionally we have been busy with finding creative ways to spread the word about our book. Outside of having our book available for purchase through retailers such as Walmart.com, Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, and Books-A-Million we are striving to get our book seen by even more retailers. Recently, we were able to get our book into a small independent book store by the name of Words United Bookstore in the Austin area and land a interview on  Black News Channel. Everything has been a little challenging due to the pandemic, so we’ve been creative with how we interact and spread the word about our book. One lesson we have definitely had to learn is the power of flexibility during these times. In closing, we would love for the world to know that our book is for everyone which makes it a great family conversation piece. This is why we are busy making sure we are able to scream  from the mountain top about our amazing work of art!  The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. Fortunately for us, we are blessed to have an amazing tribe of supporters in the form of family and friends. We are truly thankful for all of their unwavering support of our project.
