We had the good fortune of connecting with Shonae Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shonae, how do you think about risk?
The late and great humanitarian, Nipsey Hussle, once stated in other words “don’t live basic, take risk”. Life is a gamble but don’t be scared to go after what you desire! So I look at risk as milestones I need to complete as I go farther into my business. The role that risk play in my life/career is based around my whole brand of being Ambitious. To be Ambitious or have Ambitious means to take risk & make sacrifices.

What should our readers know about your business?
My entire brand is about being Ambitious. My slogan is “Feed Your Ambition”, meaning do whatever necessary to accommodate your desires in life, no matter what for. I got to where I am today in my business through the amount of support from my family and even strangers. So many times I wanted to give up but here I am, still going. This journey has not been easy but I knew it wouldn’t be, it was just the risk worth taking if I wanted it to succeed. I kept going to Feed My Ambition. The biggest lesson I have learned was no matter how hard, how tired, how broke (lol) keep going! Everything will pay off. The world should know I am my brand & my brand is me.

Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a special shout-out to my mom, cliche, I know but without the risk and sacrifices she made for our family I don’t think I would be writing this for a magazine. My mom took a great risk when she moved my siblings & I to Houston in 2014 with nothing but our clothes. We came here and started completely over! I thank her for that everyday even if I don’t say it out loud. Of course I have to shout out my grandma for the constant support and lessons she has taught me. My lil sisters for keeping me on my toes so that I am a great role model for them. My late uncle for instilling in me that no matter what I need to keep pushing forward & never give up! My late twin brother for giving me countless talks about being the one to make it out of the city and making a name for our family. Shoutout to them and everyone else who has supported me!
