Hi Shondricka, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind success are consistency, knowing your worth and boundaries. Consistency is such a vital key to success. Most entrepreneurs expect to be an overnight success after launching; however that’s not always the case. How do I stay consistent? I choose to treat everyday like I’m starting over at 0 with no plan B no matter yesterdays income/outcome. The second part of success in my opinion comes from knowing your worth. I notice so often, entrepreneurs talk about the price going up but the offerings haven’t changed. What do I mean by knowing your worth? I mean knowing your products and services, what problem you’re solving and the value you share with your clients. I know my clients are receiving value at every encounter with my companies or myself. Knowing your worth is much more about value not price.

The final factor on the journey to success is boundaries. Initially when I became an entrepreneur I didn’t have boundaries I was a slave to my business.

Eventually I went back to the business formula I teach which was knowing your target audience, removing myself from the company, building the business, knowing your client avatar/experience and always staying innovative in your products/services.

My point of view now and looking back shows my growth. I now understand the importance of having a team and systems that contributes to my success.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from other tax companies is that I have positioned my firm to be the first 24-hour wealth development firm and institute. We pride ourselves on being the premier tier of tax, business and financial services. As the CEO, even as a solopreneur I knew I wanted my firms to be more than the average tax office. I wanted to serve and educate year-round. I am most excited about how far we have come since 2013. I got to where I am today because of consistency, dedication and sacrifice. It was not easy, but I am very determined. The first step to me overcoming challenges was my mindset. Once that changed everything changed, I began to live an unlimited life. I have learned so many valuable lessons along the way such as read your contracts, be slow to hire & quick to fire and networking/mentorship is an investment just to name a few. I want the world to know that Carter Capital PLLC started with only 6 clients in 2013 no employees; now 2022 we have 3 franchise locations in my hometown New Orleans, LA. an entire college with hundreds of graduates, resource library authored by me, social media communities, a mobile app to offer virtual services to our clients, a podcast, a you tube channel, credit repair department, full network of realtors, we also offer bookkeeping and accounting services for our clients.
