We had the good fortune of connecting with Sirquincy Ray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sirquincy, what do you want your legacy to be?
My legacy is every life I touch. It’s every person who I’ve every serviced and whose every felt something or recieved something from their experience. If I just do one small thing everyday, I’m building my own legacy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Defying social norms, the nail industry is dominanted largely by Vietnamese women. I wanted to create a space of self- care and wellness most of all as a black male I wanted other dudes to understand the need to normalize foot care. So after massage school I went to get my nail lic, then after my advance nail Therapy certification and my medical Pedicurist certification.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love food, and Houston give a lot of options, I’m a big kid so I would definitely head off to Andretti indoor Karting, definitely a stop at the top gun range to relieve some stress, after hope over for some live music at urban smoke and next door urban social for some music and cocktails.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out to all the nail therapists and those who took me in and paved the way for me to be creative
