We had the good fortune of connecting with SISTER Hannah Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SISTER, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I feel very strongly that I would not be doing what I am doing without the people I have supporting me. I think in working towards anything it’s crucial to have people you can rely on and help you build towards your goals. Having those people around that can push you even when it’s challenging. That for me is the most important thing.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? This is a very broad question. I can’t really say exactly what I’ve done to get where I am except that it had to be partially hard work, partially the favor of others, and partially being really lucky/blessed – however you prefer to see it. I feel the thing that sets me apart is that I don’t attempt to be like everyone else. In the sense that, I just do what I fee works for me. That can be different for everyone and learning what you need is crucial in personal development and finding some kind of success for yourself.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorites spots around town would be Les Givrals and Simply Pho on Milam, Biryani pot, Catalina Coffee, and the Cy Twombly Gallery.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My partner and I have been together for almost 5 years – it’s weird how quickly time moves. He goes by the name Mackeson – he’s also a musician, songwriter, producer, and helps me with the creative vision of Sister. He played a key role in helping me create the sound you currently and will hear from my music. Like any relationship, it can be challenging but is also extremely rewarding to be able to create and grow with someone so closely.
