We had the good fortune of connecting with Solomon Savoy Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solomon, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Faith Base Work Place (FBWP) LLC was established in 2020 and I have not looked back since. God gave me the vision and purpose to help people who are dealing with toxic people in the workplace & at home. FBWP helps the community through corporate training & individual coaching. I help others formulate strategies and let them know there is love and life after abuse. Between YouTube, social media, training, and life coaching, my goal is to let people know that you don’t stop living after dealing with narcissists abuse. I look forward to helping people through more community involvement, healing discussions, and candid coaching.

As a man that has dealt with narcissist abuse, I believe that it is time for more men to stand up and tell their stories. I take what I do very seriously and want to help more men & women worth through trauma and alleviate the drama in their lives. I look forward to spreading more awareness.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Being an entrepreneur can be scary for anyone and I am no different. Standing on faith I have achieved more than I could have ever imagined. I set out to start talking about narcissistic abuse in the workplace on a podcast. But God had other plans on what I needed to do. In 2020 I started a YouTube channel and certification training as a life coach. These were two of the best decisions I made that year.

Starting a business is never easy but if you do what you love it helps a lot. I am excited each every week that I go live or talk to a client to help them work through issues. It is great to see people open up about things that have troubled them in their past. The trials and tribulations may come but trouble doesn’t last all ways. I look at challenges as opportunities to prove myself and my faith.

I am an Army veteran, husband, father, bonus dad, and Christ-follower. I love to make people laugh so I use that ability to help people have a better life after narcissist abuse. My YouTube channel, Faith Base Work Place, is growing as survivors come to heal, love, and laugh again after abuse.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Turkey Leg Hut is one of the places in Houston that sets the tone on food in the area. It’s a great place for music and great food.

Driving up to The Woodlands to shop and view the scenery & beautiful landscaping is always a plus. We would have to plan a movie at either the Alamo Drafthouse or Star Cinema Grill. The seats, food, drinks, and atmosphere are second to none.

The WaterWall downtown and museum district are added bonuses that are classic H-town.

Other places to visit why they are in town would be Walkons Sports Bar to catch any sports on television. The food here is a Louisiana staple and the atmosphere is always a plus. Setting up a day to go drive down to Galveston to see the beach and hang out. The next day we would have to go to Top Gold for some fun and laughs.

Next, we would have to visit Dave and Busters for fun and games. There is always something to do here so we would have to check what all is going on to see what else to do. A quick drive over to Louisiana for food and fun is never a bad idea. New Orleans would be a great way to end the visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife, Shannon Savoy, deserves a huge shoutout. Shannon is the CEO of Narc Free Living LLC. She is a dynamic speaker, advocate, life coach, and survivor of domestic violence. Shannon empowers, educates, and edifies others to overcome through biblical and practical strategies.

Our love has grown after realizing that we both have been through abuse in different ways. Shannon and I push each other every day to help more people that are survivors of domestic violence and narcissistic abuse. She is the founder of A Girl’s Girl NonProfit where she provides training, teaching, and resources to survivors. Visit www.narcfreeliving.com or girlsgirlsrock.com to learn more.
