Hi Sophia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Overtime i never thought of becoming an Insurance Agent, Ive always loved make up and hair. In the past 5 years I worked for an insurance agent on and off. One day i just decided I am tired of working a simple 9-5 not being able to grow, I was hungry for knowledge. One day I was on instagram following an Insurance agent and just sent her a DM on how to get my license, next day i was signed up and studying my course.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is not worrying about what others think. I do what I want and what I believe is right for my clients even if it’s only 10 people. It makes me extremely happy to receive good feedback from my clients. I got to where I’m at today business-wise by not only studying but also working in this industry for 5 years and getting alot of knowledge under my belt, I just believed in myself and trusting my own process. I had already visioned my business ideas so It was up to me how much of those ideas I wanted to come to life and share with the world. The process was not easy there were tears, sleepless nights, frustration and a whole lot of giving up and this may not be for me but I am so happy I did not let that happen. Anything you set your mind to, you can achieve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh man! It all depends, my best friend, he lives close by so we go everywhere together but for friends visiting quality time is very important Id say a good Breakfast, Lunch and dinner and some of the hot spots here in Houston ya girl likes to eat :). The taco truck ” Tacos Dorados ” in Houston is a must and kinda end it with a catch up and scary movie night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mother Diana Ramos i dedicate this to her, I would not be where I am at if it wasn’t for her. Also my family. I come from a very close family where ” if that’s what you want, go for it ! ” No matter what, regardless they always believed in me, trusted me, supported my decisions following my professional career. Thanks to my family I have lots of faith and confidence that gets me by everyday. To all of my friends that have supported me from day one and continuously pushed me when I wanted to give up and quit, Thank you.
