We had the good fortune of connecting with Valeria Pico and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valeria, what is the most important factor behind your success?
By far the most important factor of our success as Spa World Houston is because of our community and guests. Who have supported us through thick and thin. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them. With that comes our staff which works very hard for this to come true, our incredible management team and orientation that supports us on everything we do. They focus on putting our customers first in everything we do and the experience, from the moment they walk in our doors to the moment they leave

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from other businesses or spas is that we are a new concept, not only do we pride ourselves with the best facility and unique saunas but we are a 60,000 square foot facility with 9 therapy rooms, bath houses, napping areas, café, restaurant, bar, indoor golf, movie theater, karaoke indoor playground for kids and outdoor terrace.

We are excited about being a place where people can just unplug and enjoy some quality time with their partner or their family. We would love for more people to learn about Korean culture and experience it first hand.

We’ve learned a great lesson about consistency and patience, it was a hard way but everything turned out great in the end.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start off with the Space Center in Houston, the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park and Houston Museum District. For food we would recommend Taste of Texas, Railrope Heights, and a visit to The Post. To end the weekend, a relaxing day at our facility Spa World Houston.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Again we give a lot of credit to our customers , they are the reason why we love what we do. Also one of the pillars of our success as a business is our management. They work endlessly to see each and every employee shine and better themselves. Our team trains us to deliver the best customer service, allowing our guests to have the best experience. Also a special shoutout to our CEO Young Oh, who took an idea and built it from the floor up.
