We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Sappington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, how do you think about risk?
In life AND in business, you’ve got to take some risks! But, I think you have to be calculated. You can’t just jump off the edge of the canyon. Pack the parachute. Plan. Research. Learn always. Make connections. Find a mentor. But once you’ve prepared yourself, JUMP! We have one life to live and we have this assumption that we will have tomorrow to live our lives to it’s fullest. But today is the most important day. We all seem to be in our own way. If we could just get out of our own way and jump, we could all be living closer to our full potential and feeling so much fulfillment and joy. I say this from experience. It took me quite some time to get out of my own way. And daily I continue to pack tools in my backpack and also intentionally put my fears and hesitations aside so I can jump off the cliff and fly!
What should our readers know about your business?
I had been a Realtor for 11 years and I absolutely LOVE real estate but I was searching for more and I needed a challenge. My number one passion is serving others and coaching and mentoring other people so it became very obvious to me that starting my own Brokerage was my next step. So, Red Shoe Realty was born! My goal is to give new and experienced agents the support and training that I did not get. Real Estate can be “every man for himself” and I want to change the game. There is more than enough success to go around and my Brokerage is one where successes and failures can are shared so we can all grow. My New Agent training program is my favorite piece! It is an online, video based training program so agents have what they need at their fingertips no matter what time of day it is. I am really enjoying my new role as Broker. And cheers to 2022!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite thing about Houston is the diversity and the culture. I love that I can have any cuisine, go to a huge variety of museums, see amazing theatre and fine arts, tons of sporting event options with massive stadiums, and live music galore. It makes. my heart happy that Houston is literally a rainbow of every shade of skin and we represent the world really.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
No one does it alone and I am no exception. I am so grateful for the coaches I’ve worked with over the last few years. I grow exponentially with a coach and I highly recommend it. Also, the people in my inner circle have made a tremendous difference. It took some pruning but surrounding myself with good energy and love has made a world of difference for me.
