We had the good fortune of connecting with Stanley Nnanna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stanley, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Not so much a habit, but not caring about other peoples opinions play a key role in my success today. When you block out the outside noise you’re able to experiment more efficiently. You’re able to try new things, new styles; figure out what works, & what doesn’t… It all separates you. This stage is important because it allows you to be confident in your own decision making. Not caring about others opinions is vital in your own personal development.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think with 7STAR what sets me apart is the creativity & it being able to translate. Part of that has a lot to do with perfectionism & compromise. I can start designing a piece in August and it’ll be an entirely different piece by March. So maybe the answer could be work ethic too.

I owe a lot of my success to Texas as a whole. I have a bunch of friends out here & when people genuinely like you they automatically support. I feel like that’s really important in business, building your home team and going from there.

Also I’ve learned you can’t force people to support you, it won’t be genuine. You cant grow that way as an artist, creator, business owner, etc by banking on strangers to support you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was coming down to Houston for a week long trip, the very first place we would stop at would have to be Lost and Found. Lost and Found is a great place to really get the Houston experience! They have amazing food drinks, and live music! In Houston, to get the most fun, meet exciting people, and see interesting places you would have to visit Downtown Houston. Downtown Houston has a lot of things to offer. From the atmosphere to the people, there is a lot of entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This question has a million answers honestly. I could start with my family for believing and supporting in 7STAR when it was just an idea. Most importantly my mom, her work ethic is inspiring; I honestly think thats the standard for me. Seeing somebody work that hard day in and day out kind of rubs off on you almost.
