We had the good fortune of connecting with Steve Striever and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steve, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
My path to success has been shaped by certain habits, with one of the most significant being my ability to connect with people. I genuinely enjoy getting to know individuals and learning about their unique stories. Coming from a low-income background, I was exposed to a world of endless possibilities, which inspired me to cultivate a habit of perpetual learning. I constantly seek out new knowledge and skills that can empower me to achieve greater things in life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our journey to our current point was undoubtedly challenging, but one thing I’ve learned is that adaptability and a willingness to approach things differently from the norm can be the most profound learning experiences. When we initially embarked on this business venture, we recognized the need for a unique approach, even though we weren’t quite sure what that would entail. Through extensive trial and error, we honed a distinctive method for capturing the essence of the joyful moments at the events we participated in.
Our Instagram reels became a powerful tool, showcasing not only the excellence of the events but also the authentic joy people experienced with our services. It was this human connection, portrayed through our reels, that truly set us apart and left a lasting impression on everyone. Demonstrating our genuine passion for this industry transformed our lives because our motivation lies not in monetary gain, but in the unforgettable experiences we provide to our customers.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely recommend you some spots while still supporting our small business in the area. First off, the best breakfast spot in town I recommend is Azteca Taco House in the Northside of Houston. If you are a more nature inclined individual I would suggest taking a stroll through the museum district. The Mcgovern centennial garden is absolutely beautiful and the museum in front has so much to see. When you’re done with that and feel a little thirsty, going back to the northside and having some drinks at Monkey’s tail with friends is a great way to end your night.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Group of people I really want to thank from the bottom of my heart are all of the people that gave Maria and I an opportunity to work for them when we first started this company. They are the true MVPs, to this day I still remember and still have contact with all of our great customers. Some have even become friends and colleagues along the way and I can’t thank them enough for their unconditional support.
