We had the good fortune of connecting with Sue – Jamie Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sue – Jamie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Our culture and what we put out in the world! (Our heart) We preach that everything we do is PA’ MI GENTE which translated means – For My People.
We strongly believe in taking care of others without judgement. My family comes from services of hospitality and care taking. We love on people no matter your “story.”
We get to help each other out.
What should our readers know about your business?
Ok so honestly I like to do it all ,so you can safely assume that I’m a wearer of many hats!! I’d like to summarize it all ,and it might sound silly ,but I am most definitely a HOPE DEALER.
I had heard this title a while back in the company that I’m blessed to be partnered with and since then it clung on to my heart so tightly and didn’t want to let go!
I love making people feel as they are welcomed, accepted and that they have so much potential to be and do more. Lifting others really.
That trait truly then pours onto others. Whether it be their close ones or even their business culture. It all goes together. Remember we get to help each other.
I help the lost ambitious and driven individuals own their lives by growing their mindset with business.
(coaching involved)
Being a hope dealer is not easy though I will have to say! Lol
It weighs a lot mentally sometimes ,but I stay close to God and my support system on those days. 1 % better each day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooooh yay! Ok! So first of all I would freak because I’m a perfectionist haha. I would definitely take them to Montrose! There’s this thrift store that I’ve been going to FOREVERRR called the Cottage shop! I love how they have older some what vintage and modern clothing and they always have great deals!! The best part is half of the proceeds go to the womens home next door!
But yeah Montrose is also very artsy and that’s most def my vibe!
Eating lunch at the cutest family owned vegan cafe called “So Veganly” in t Old own springs ! The experience I had was amazing and the community was very welcoming.
Oh yes and food trucks are in the foodie plans! Of course everything vegan!! (food places is usually where the photoshoots go down!)
ok next, Of course we’re plant nursery hopping ! They are just a slice of heaven on earth. Being around the plants and being outdoors is so refreshing!
On another day- Discovery green / Bayou Park for nature walks while appreciating life and filling it with great convos and genuine time.
Slowing down is necessary.
Im a huge supporter of small businesses! So we would go to either a farmers market , spice market and/or vendor events on the weekend for sure!
We’re going all over at this point! LOL
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First off I want to thank God because he’s the one for it all! He really did put some really great people in front of me who really have helped me learn about life and more importantly learn more about myself! I want to thank my husband Jacob. His heart and support is like nothing I’ve ever known! He legit never gives up on me or on our family. I love him for that. He deserves so much! I love you bear 🙂
I want to thank the community of women i’m involved with. They lift me up and keep me closer to God. Honestly that’s a gift right there in itself!!
Nicole S.- a thank you is simply not enough. Backstory she actually help me find God ,so my gratitude for her is forever lasting . I like to say she’s my angel because man oh man she understands me on another level and really knows how to help without judgement. Another beautiful soul with a big heart. If I keep going I’m going to cry lol so big gracias friend!
Thank you Myrah H. for always bringing clarity to my spontaneous big dreamer ideas!
Jackie, girl thank you for always grounding me when it comes to being patient while walking in God’s plan.
Thank you to all my family and friends along the way , your support and love is very much appreciated.
It’s crazy how people actually believe in you even if you don’t yourself. I’ve been blessed with with some pretty strong warriors as my friends and now family.
