Meet Susan Del Broccolo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Del Broccolo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Susan, what are you inspired by?
What really inspired me to start my photography business was the idea of preserving moments that could be relived for years to come. My daily inspiration in my business that reflects my style is chasing all the sunrises & sunsets under the vast Texas open sky. I love my photographs to not only reflect emotion but filled with rich golden tones behind my images.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I live and breath to be a photographer….to be able to capture a moment and preserve it forever. What sets my photography apart from others is my style. I specialize in equestrian, families, senior grads and anyone who wants to tell a story. I blend authentic storytelling/ cinematic shots and integrate it into the raw beauty of the Texas country. I am always drawn to wide open skies and golden sunsets that fill my images with golden light and natural textures….while capturing moments that feel adventurous and deeply personal. My style leans with genuine emotion, movement and memories being made.
I got where I am professionally by following the threads of my own life adventures. From traveling with friends before becoming a mom, to raising my two daughters in the country, riding our horses and taking care of our own farm…being surrounded by open land, changing skies, and simple, honest moments taught me to see the beauty in everyday. Over time, I realized I wanted to share the perspective with others through my lens. My life has shaped my professional path so much it carries into my brand. The connection of nature, animals, sunsets and people is at the heart of everything I create.
I want each image to feel like a page in someone’s own story to be relived over and over again.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I would start the day with an early morning on the porch with coffee watching the Texas sunrise through beautiful open fields. Then head out to the horses for a ride… the kind of ride where you hear their hooves in the dirt. We would end the night with live music at a local spot, good drinks in hand and anyone who know me…lots of laughter and a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, my family has always been my biggest supporters. My husband and two daughters have always encouraged me to follow my creative instincts and supporting my business. Their constant support has given me so much courage to take risks, keep learning, and create such beautiful images. A lot of my inspiration and ideas come from watching my two daughters growing up and beginning adventures of their own. In addition to my family, I am also so grateful to my village…friends who have cheered me on, stepped in front of a camera for practice shoots and reminded me what I started this journey in the first place. Your encouragement and trust have been the backbone of my photography adventure.
