We had the good fortune of connecting with Tameka Pounds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tameka, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
How important good mental health actually is, I think most people don’t realize how much of a role and toll mental health has and can have on your success, physical health and relationships. Mental Health can have such a negative stigma attached to it that in most cases it scares people from even giving it a try. When in reality it is just as important as the other health precursors ,follow ups, and habits.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
All Things Therapy is literally my brain child that I have been fortunate enough to see come into fruition. Since I was a child my dream was to open a help center and to help as many people as I could, as I grew older my focus has become more refined and I have created this practice from experience, passion and the desire to make a difference. The journey was certainly not an easy one but it was definitely a destined destination. I actually got started after falling really ill  of course during a pandemic, it was almost as though everything I learned and experienced professionally had become stepping stones to this destination of continuing the work in a different realm. I am most excited about seeing how what I dreamt and talked about constantly as a child looks in real time! I believe what sets us apart is the creative and relatable way in which we connect with others. I want the world to know that working with All Things Therapy has endless possibilities for healing and growth!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I would definitely take them to local eateries and do fun interactive things so our itinerary may look like:

Brunch – Another Broken Egg or Taste Bar
Walking in Vintage park
Candle Making at Foxfire
Riding through Downtown Houston to check out the scenery
Evening 3 wheeling at Eadus Big Boy Toys
Dinner Downtown Houston

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout out to all my friends, family and supporters who keep me afloat and encouraged daily!
