Meet Tatiana Bozic | Luxury Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Bozic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi tatiana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my business because I believed in the value I could offer, and I was ready to take that leap for bringing that vision to life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pathway to my design firm was rather unusual,I emigrated to US due to a war in my country of origin Bosnia 1996 and a few months later started working at the Houston Grand Opera costume shop as a drafter of historical theatre costumes.
My background in architecture and civil engineering helped me tremendously and I was a fast learner so I learned a lot about luxurious textiles, layering trimming and all that goes in to creating these intricate pieces.
That knowledge enabled me few years later to confidently start my company that was at first focused on drapery and soft goods design . I hade a luck to work with some of the most affluent clients in this area that challenged me and my abilities with their requests for more than just drapery design. Very quickly we transitioned in to a full service interior design firm offering a hands on luxurious interior design services.
I can’t say that my journey was hard or easy I just took it as is with all highs and lows. The passion that I have for this profession outweighs the challenges that I face in my day to day work. I live by famous Elsie de Wolfe’s words “ I am going to make everything beautiful around me , and that will be my life “ .
We are dedicated to work with and for our clients helping them reach their dream home where they will create their memories. Our firm specializes in decorating, renovation projects and a new-build design, offering interiors tailored to each client’s lifestyle.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start the morning off at my favorite cafe, French Riviera, then after a good cup of Joe and a quick bite I’d take them to the Menil collection and finish the day off with some good Texan barbecue at the Pit Room. Our next day would start off at El Boillio for a morning sweet treat while strolling the historic heights neighborhood for dinner I’d treat them to some authentic Mexican cuisine at Hugo’s. Our next day would begin at common bond bistro and bakery in Montrose proceeded by some antiquing at the bluebird and guild shop and then close out the day by grabbing some sandwiches at central market. That Saturday I would take them to the river oaks farmers market, and after that some shopping in highland village where we’d lunch at RA sushi. Four our final day, Sunday, I’d brunch with them at my favorite, Empire cafe and then just a bit more shopping at the Galleria.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I can not say that there is a one particular person or book that I can attribute my success to, but definitely credit goes to all of my clients that had trusted in my ability to bring their vision of best life to fruition .
